“Success is not an accident. It is sheer hard work. There are no short-cuts. You have to take the stairs and you have to start from the bottom.”

“Failures are the stairs we climb to reach success.”
Roy T. Bennett
“You don’t have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step.”

“There is no elevator to success, you have to take the stairs.”

That’s a great example of “steps” to success in business or sports. Good job ol chap.
But did you also know that “steps” are not the way to righteousness?
Exodus 20
“25 And if thou wilt make me an altar of stone, thou shalt not build it of hewn stone: for if thou lift up thy tool upon it, thou hast polluted it.
26 Neither shalt thou go up by steps unto mine altar, that thy nakedness be not discovered thereon.”
Righteousness is can only be received as a free gift from God, (see Romans 5.17-19).
